In a close-run final the Mid Week league was won by Chesham 1879 Tennis Club. Last year’s beaten finalists triumphed 51-50 over EH Smith who were strong thhroughout the competition. Team captain Jayne McCarthy collected the £500 winners cheque and praised her squad of 10 players.
There were some excellent scores on finals night and it was good to see George Inn gain a rare victory in such fine style! Ley Hill School claimed third place with a comprehensive victory over Silversons, and Ley Hill Cricket Club prevailed in a high-scoring 5th/6th playoff.

Teams will need a squad of 7-10 golfers, of which four are required for each Wednesday night fixture. Squad members don’t necessarily need to be part of the organisation and do not need an official handicap.
